The North Bay Public Library offers a number of programs and events for those aged 13 - 17 including our Teen Advisory Group and Teen Summer Book Club.

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

Our Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a volunteer opportunity for teens who use the library. By joining this group, teens earn volunteer hours by helping to develop the library's collection (both physical and digital), help plan programs, and give input on library space.

Next meeting: Tuesday June 30, 6-7PM in the Board Room (lower level of the library)

This will be an in person meeting. Meet and chat with others, pick out some books, and eat some snacks!

Drag Storytime - PRIDE Edition!

Drag Storytime - PRIDE Edition!

Join us for a very special PRIDE edition of Drag Storytime with Switched On Prodctions on Saturday June 13 at 1PM in the library Auditorium!

Performers from Switched On Productions with read a selection of stories celebrating Pride and inclusivity, all chosen from the library's collection.

All ages are welcome to this storytime.

This is a free, drop-in style program!

Cricut Workshop: Paper Flowers with Near North Makerspace

Cricut Workshop with NearNorth Makerspace: Paper Flowers

Saturday, June 13th, 1-3pm in the Board Room (lower level of the library)

Participants will learn how to use a Cricut Machine to cut out patterns in cardstock and use special tools to turn them into flowers. 

This program is for ages 16+.

Registration required. Please register in advance. Participants must register individually.

Father's Day Card Making!

⚠️ Please note that if you are registering for a child and you are accompanying them/participating in making a craft, you must also register a spot for yourself. 
Please also note that each person that is attending MUST have their own separate registration, we need a name for each person. Having a guardian registered and then adding in a note that they are bringing extra children is not an acceptable registration for each child. Spaces are limited due to fire codes, exact numbers are required. The only exception is for an infant that would be in a carrier.⚠️ 

Celebrate the dads, grandfathers, and special father figures in your life with a handmade card made from the heart! Join us on June 16th, from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Auditorium for a fun, relaxed, and creative crafting program for all ages.

Participants will explore a wide variety of craft supplies, including cardstock, decorative paper, stamps, stickers, markers, and more, to design unique Father's Day cards 🎨✂️ Whether you're going for funny, sporty, classic, or heartfelt, there will be plenty of materials to help bring your ideas to life.

💙 This program is a great way to get creative and show appreciation with a thoughtful, handmade gift dads will love.

✨ No crafting experience is needed—friendly staff will be available to offer help and inspiration.

✨ All ages are welcome! Please note: An adult must accompany children 12 and under.

🎁 This is a free event, and all supplies are provided, but quantities are limited, so be sure to register in advance to reserve your spot.

Rainbow Craft Day!

🌈 Celebrate Pride with creativity and colour! Join us for a fun and welcoming Rainbow Craft Session, where you can make Pride-themed crafts for yourself or a loved one. We’ll have a variety of craft options available, including Pride buttons and more! 🏳️‍🌈💖

The crafts will be:

  • Rainbow Wind Dancers
  • Air dry Clay Hearts
  • Pride Buttons
  • Beaded Pride Keychains
  • Mini Sensory Sticks

It's time for Book Bingo!

Join us on Tuesday June 23 from 6-7PM in the library auditorium.

The North Bay Public Library and North Bay Games and Hobbies are partnering to bring you Family Board Game Day!

Fast, fun 15-minute games curated by us and sponsored by North Bay Games and Hobbies. Try lots of games, meet new people, and enjoy a playful afternoon. Rules can be adapted for younger players. Fun comes first!

Movie Matinee at the Library - Death on the Nile

Movie Matinee at the Library! 

Calling all cinema buffs! Join us on Saturday June 27 from 12:30-3PM in the Auditorium for an afternoon showing of the film Death on the Nile!

Prior to the show we’ll have a brief discussion of some cool facts and context about the film!
