Yarn + Craft Supply Swap
Do you have crafting supplies that you no longer need or use? If so, we have a great opportunity for you!
Join us for a fun crafting supply swap event. Bring your unwanted items, whether it's fabric, yarn, beads, or any other crafting materials, and exchange them for other goodies that spark your creativity.
This event is a fantastic way to declutter your craft space while discovering new supplies that you can turn into exciting projects.
Even if you don't want to swap, feel free to bring your items to donate to fellow crafters. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing the love of crafting!
If you wish to swap, you will be issued up 5 tickets for what you bring in, then you can browse and choose your swap items and redeem your tickets. Please make sure that your swap items are in good condition (pest and dirt free)

An Evening with Linwood Barclay
Join us for a very special author event on Tuesday October 6th from 6-8PM! The North Bay Public Library in partnership with Nipissing University is very pleased to present an evening with New York Times best-selling Canadian author Linwood Barclay. He will speak about his latest book Not a Word and his career as a Canadian writer.
This is a ticketed event. Everyone who attends MUST have a ticket. Tickets are only available at the main circulation desk starting September 1, 2026. Tickets will not be held.
Tickets are $5.00 per ticket and must be purchased in person at the North Bay Public Library. Be sure to secure your tickets early! Your ticket gets you $5.00 off of the purchase of a copy if Not a Word at the event!
This event will be held at the Nipissing University Theatre at Nipissing University at 100 College Dr.
Chair Yoga with Anne Bentley
Chair Yoga with Anne Bentley
Anne Bentley will lead a modified fun gentle yoga class, using the chair to assist you with postures, balance, and support. This class is designed for all body types, including people with mobility and physical limitations. Be prepared to feel energized, inspired, and elevated.
What you will need: wear comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and an exercise band or yoga strap with you.
This class will start on Wednesday Oct. 7th and run to Dec. 2nd, 2026 (excludes Nov. 11 for Remembrance Day).
This series of classes will have a different focus every two weeks as follows:
Week 1-2 Proper Breathing
Week 3-4 Mindful Movement
Week 5-6 Lengthen and Strengthen
Week 7-8 Build Balance

Make your own DIY Halloween terrarium!
Join us on Tuesday Oct. 13 from 6-7:30PM in the library Auditorium to create your very own Halloween terrarium filled with all kinds of creepy and cute things!
This program is for ages 10+. Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Quarterly Creepy Cross Stitch
Come stitch some creepy hungry plants with us on Thursday Oct. 22nd from 6-8PM in the Mezzanine Room!
Stundew by Noctiflora Designs is an intermediate cross stitch pattern featuring backstitching and beading. Not to worry if you’re new, there will be lots of help available.
This porgram is for ages 16+.
