LEGO Robotics

LEGO Robotics Workshop - Please note that you are signing up for all 4 days. 

Ages : 11-13

Dates: January -17th, 31st , February - 14th, 28th  

Time: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM

Cost: $20 per ticket - In person only.

Join us for 4 sessions of the LEGO Robotics workshop, where young builders and aspiring engineers can explore the exciting world of robotics! Designed for ages 11 to 13, this hands-on workshop will cover the basics of building and programming LEGO robots. Participants will collaborate to create, test, and refine some robotic inventions.

Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, this fun and educational workshop will ignite their creativity and enhance their problem-solving skills.

Limited spots are available—reserve yours today for just $20 in person only at the library. 

NOTE FOR PARENTS: Your child will be partnered with other children, they MUST be able to share and work well with others. 

NOTE FOR PARENTS: The North Bay Public Library ask to inform parents that young children/babies should not be in attendance as pieces are very small and are choking hazards. 

Winter Drag Storytime

Beat the winter blues and join us for a fun, warm, and cozy Drag Storytime on Saturday January 17th from 1-2PM in the library auditorium.

Performers from Switched On Productions will join us to read inclusive and winter stories chosen from the library’s collection.

All ages are welcome to this free drop-in event!

Book Bingo!

It's time for Book Bingo!

Join us on Tuesday January 20th from 6-7PM in the library auditorium.

Play Bingo, win books! Come on out and see if you win!

This is a family friendly event. Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Space and supplies are limited. Please register in advance.

Puzzle + Board Game Swap!

Our puzzle and board game swap is back!

Bring your gently used board games and/or jigsaw puzzles to the library auditorium on Saturday January 24 between 1-3PM and receive a swap ticket for each item (up to a maximum of 5 tickets). You can then use your swap tickets to “buy” new-to-you puzzles and games! 

This is a drop-in style event.

  • Please ensure your swap items are clean and have all of their pieces.
  • All piece counts, styles, formats, and player ages are welcome.
  • Puzzle pieces should be sealed in a clear plastic bag inside the box.

Read, Sing, Play!

Read, Sing, Play

Join us for a preschool program filled with music, stories, and crafts.

For ages 1-5 years with their parent/caregiver on Thursdays from 10:30 - 11AM in the Children's Storyroom. 

This is a free, drop-in style program.

Board Game Day with North Bay Games & Hobbies

The North Bay Public Library and North Bay Games and Hobbies are partnering to bring you Family Board Game Day on Saturday January 31st!

  • Family Friendly - open to ages 8+
  • All Skills Welcome


Come Play!
Fast, fun 15-minute games curated by us and sponsored by North Bay Games and Hobbies. Try lots of games, meet new people, and enjoy a playful afternoon. Rules can be adapted for younger players. Fun comes first!
