Puzzle & Board Game Swap!

Join us for NBPL’s first ever board game and puzzle swap!

Bring your gently used board games and/or jigsaw puzzles to the library auditorium on Saturday July 12 between 1-3PM and receive a swap ticket for each item (up to a maximum of 5 tickets). You can then use your swap tickets to “buy” new-to-you puzzles and games! This is a drop-in style event.

  • Please ensure your swap items are clean and have all of their pieces.
  • All piece counts, styles, formats, and player ages are welcome.
  • Puzzle pieces should be sealed in a clear plastic bag inside the box.

Book Launch with David Ming

Join us for a book launch on Saturday July 12 from 1-3PM in the Mezzanine Room.

David Ming will be debuting his first YA novel, Drama City: a City at War

From the book jacket: "A girl named Molly wakes up in a world alive with the dramatic arts, where humans, puppets, 2D, and 3D animations live together in a drama city called Toronto. The city is at war. A war between the Theatre Arts and Film Cinemas."

This is a free drop-in style event.

Wills and Power of Attorneys Information Session

Join us on Tuesday July 15  from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Mezzanine Room (upper level of the library) for an information session on wills and power of attorneys with Michelle Lavigne Vezeau of Lavigne Vezeau Law Offices.

Learn about what goes into a will, some common misconceptions, and some best practices.

How to Access Your Digital Library for Seniors

Join us on Saturday July 19 from 2-3PM in the Mezzanine Room for tech session all about the library's digital reading apps - Libby, cloudLibrary, and hoopla.

Bring your library card and your mobile device and learn everything you need to know to borrow from your library digitally!

This program is for those aged 55+.

Space is very limited. Pleaser register in advance.

Retro Craft Club

Retro Craft Club

Retro Craft Club is a once a month crafting club where we try a craft from the past! Each month will feature a different craft from a different decade. The best part? You’ll receive a crafting merit badge just for attending – no need to finish the craft! 

Join us on the last Saturday of the month from 1-3PM in the Mezzanine Room for some retro crafting (and snacks!).

Registration opens July 2, 2025.

It's time for Book Bingo!

Join us on Tuesday July 29 from 6-7PM in the library auditorium.

Play Bingo, win books! Come on out and see if you win!

NBPL's Moose-t Reads Online Book Club

Welcome to North Bay Public Library's Moose-t Reads Book Club!
Each month, staff will post a list of books to choose from: feel free to discuss, post about, or review the book(s) you pick! You can even post things that are inspired by the theme of the month, or the book you are reading.
