Join us on Friday November 1st from 4-5PM to hear local author Rod Carley talk about the Art of Humour Writing and his new novel, RuFF.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase thanks to Allison the Bookman.

Holiday Card Making

Drop in to the library auditorium on Tuesday November 5 from 6-7:30 PM to create holiday cards.

All ages are welcome! Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

All supllies are provided. This is a free event!

Yarn and Craft Supply Swap!

Join us on Saturday November 9th for a Yarn and Craft Supply Swap!

Do you have crafting supplies you no longer need? You're in luck!

Bring your supplies to the library auditorium on between 1-3PM to swap for other crafty goodies (or just to donate!).

Please make sure that your swap items are in good condition (pest and dirt free), and organized in their own containers or bags (if the items are small).

If you wish to swap, you will be issued up 5 tickets for what you bring in, then you can browse and choose your swap items and redeem your tickets.

Snacks and drinks provided! This is a free event.

DIY Macrame Keychains

Learn basic macrame techniques and take home a keychain!

Join us on Tuesday November 12 from 6-7PM in the Mezzanine Room to make a macrame keychain. 

This free program is for ages 12 and up. All supplies are provided.

Join us virtually for a Zoom webinar on Tuesday November 19 at 6:30PM from the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) Know Your Rights: Buying Vehicles in Ontario.

OMVIC is the regulator of motor vehicle sales in Ontario, and administer and enforce consumer protection legislation on behalf of the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery.

This free 60 minute webinar is meant to provide consumers with information about the following topics:

  • Who is OMVIC and how we can help
  • Compensation Fund
  • Understanding car dealer advertising
  • Negative equity and long-term loans
  • Agreement and disclosures
  • Avoiding curbsides and fraud prevention
  • Tips for buying or leasing a car

NBPL's Moose-t Reads Online Book Club

Welcome to North Bay Public Library's Moose-t Reads Book Club!
