Do you have crafting supplies you no longer need? You're in luck!
Bring your supplies to the library auditorium to swap for other crafty goodies (or just to donate!).
Please make sure that your swap items are in good condition (pest and dirt free), and organized in their own containers or bags (if the items are small).
If you wish to swap, you will be issued up 5 tickets for what you bring in, then you can browse and choose your swap items and redeem your tickets.
Come out to learn about comic book creation with special guest Ken Steacy, thanks to the History Program at Nipissing University!
Ken is a comics artist and writer best known for his work on the NOW Comics comic book series of Astro Boy and of the Comico comic series of Johnny Quest.
On Tuesday September 9 from 6-8PM in the library auditorium, Ken will lead a workshop on comic book creation to help you use your creativity to create your very own comic!
This program is for those aged 10 and up. Tickets are $5.00 per person, available at the Main Desk starting Monday Aug. 11th. Everyone attending must have a ticket.

We know that back-to-school time can be stressful and expensive. This program helps ease that pressure by giving families a chance to share and receive supplies, ensuring that every student has what they need to succeed.
The North Bay Public Library will donate any extra supplies collected to local community groups and schools to help even more children in need.

Sashiko is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching used for the decorative and/or functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing.
Kits for embroidery will be provided!
All experience levels welcome! For ages 18+.
Tickets are $10.00 per person, register in person at the main desk starting September 2nd. Tickets are non-refundable and not holdable. Tickets must be purchased in person.

On Saturday September 20, from 2-3:30PM, the Private Poet will take us on a fast paced ramble through the wordscapes of classical English literature. From Dickensian London, to the romance of D'arcy's Pemberley to the wild moors of the Bronte sisters.
Private Poet is a Professional Reader of Books, for the discerning listener. Born in England he currently resides in North Bay.

Retro Craft Club
Retro Craft Club is a once a month crafting club where we try a craft from the past! Each month will feature a different craft from a different decade. The best part? You’ll receive a crafting merit badge just for attending – no need to finish the craft!
Join us on the last Saturday of the month from 1-3PM in the Mezzanine Room for some retro crafting (and snacks!).
