Thanks to the Government of Ontario's 2025-26 Senior's Community Grant, the North Bay Public Library is launching our Coffee & Conversation program series. These programs aim to provide North Bay and area seniors with opportunites to learn about different topics including online safety, accessing digital library services, mindfulness techniques, and Wills and power of attorneys. Social activities such as a Sip + Stitch craft night, Bad Art Night, and special editions of Book Bingo are also included to provide more opportunities for socializing.

Join us on Saturday December 13 from 2-3PM in the Mezzanine Room to learn about the things that your library card gives you access to, plus some programs and services you might not know about.
This information session is for those aged 18+.

Bring a new project or a WIP to work on during this drop-in social-gathering style event. We will have snacks and music! This is a free drop-in style event. All crafts are welcome!

Jessy Boudreau will help participants explore simple mindfulness practices and learn how to bring kind awareness to thoughts and emotions. Research shows that mindfulness and self-compassion can help improve memory, ease loneliness, lower blood pressure, and increase resilience. No experience needed—just bring an open heart.

Drop into the Joan Duquette Room (Lower level of the library) on Thursday January 22nd, between 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and/or 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to explore the opportunities of volunteering with the Nipissing Branch of Ontario Ancestors.
